Macri receives EU support for investments and agreement with Mercosur

Argentina’s president Mauricio Macri announced today the beginning of a new stage in the relationship between Argentina and the Mercosur with the European Union (EU), which will «bring opportunities for Argentines,» in the end of a visit of just 24 hours to Brussels.

«I feel it was very good that we come to ratify our vocation to strengthen the relationship between Argentina and the Mercosur with the European Union,» Mr. Macri said during a press conference at the offices of Argentina diplomacy.

Macri added that «there is a very good climate and a sample of enthusiasm with the changes that took place in our country» and therefore «we must continue to deepen and working» on the same line.

«We have begun a path that will bring opportunities for Argentines, that is the commitment we have. To exit poverty, we need education and work. We have come to seek investment,» he said.
