Atletico Madrid – Chelsea and Real Madrid – Bayern Munich in the semifinals of the Champions League




Yesterday, the draw for the Champions League defined the semifinals of the most important club competition in Europe. Simeone’s Atletico Madrid goes against Mourinho’s Chelsea, while Real Madrid of Ancelotti’s plays against Bayern Munich of Guardiola. The first matches are in Spain, and then define in Germany and England. 

The first leg will be played on 22 and 23 April, while the back is held on 29 and 30 March. The final will be in Lisbon on 24 May.

The toughest of the four may be the Bayern Munich, whose players already have a lot of experience in defining stages. The German team was a finalist in the last three editions, with Inter, Chelsea and Borussia Dortmund, but was only able to win the last one.

Ancelotti had an uneven season, but still with chances in three competitions (Copa del Rey, League and Champions).

Meanwhile, the other key define Simeone Atletico Madrid and Mourinho’s Chelsea. The “Aleti” is the only one of four that never won the Champions League and went into semis after 40 years in two big games against Barcelona. In addition, the Argentine has chances to became champions in Spain.

The Chelsea of “Mou” is second in the Premier League and is usually a very tough opponent when playing at home.
