Argentina inaugurates the Book Fair of Paris on Thursday
This afternoon, President Cristina Kirchner participated in a tribute to Napoleon Bonaparte, at the National des Invalides in Paris. There, she was received with honors.
During the ceremony, were shown the French and Argentine flag, and then members of the National Gendarmerie played up the traditional “Parade of the guard” and the national anthems of both countries.
The Hotel des Invalides is a complex dating from the seventeenth century and is located in the seventh arrondissement of the French capital. The building was created as a residence for retired French military, disabled or elderly.
Currently works there the Army museum. In 1840 was built the mausoleum with the remains of Napoleon.
In the framework of his official visit to France, Argentina’s president met with his French counterpart Francois Hollande and on Thursday she’ll meet with Prime Minister Jean -Marc Ayrault to inaugurate the Book Fair, in which Argentina is invited of honor.
