Ferrer became champion in Buenos Aires

Taking the place of Rafa Nadal, David Ferrer became champion of the Open of Buenos Aires, after defeating Italian Fabio Fognini 6-4, 6-3.
Nadal confirmed he would not run in Buenos Aires a few days before the tournament started. But Ferrer came to demonstrate that he would not disappoint fans. Today, with a full stadium, he became champion for the third time in Argentina.
In the final of the ATP of Argentina, Spanish prevailed against Italian Fabio Fognini 6-4, 6-3. Thus, the Spanish became three-time champion at the ATP of Buenos Aires.
The result does not favor Delpo. His elimination from the ATP of Rotterdam and the victory of Ferrer attacked his ranking. Starting tomorrow he goes in fifth place, leaving the Spanish fourth.
