To balance prices, the government opened the import of products like tomatoes from Brazil

The Chief of Staff Jorge Capitanich said today President Cristina Kirchner instructed Economy Minister Axel Kicillof to import tomatoes from Brazil, precisely to ensure supply and balance prices.

Chief Ministers anticipated that import policy “will be done with all those goods which suffer seasonal supply or which may affect the price level program “Care Prices”.

In this regard, Capitanich said the executive branch ” identified problems in logistics and supply some providers.”

For example, he said, “exceptional sales in December were made. This led to missing items.”

“Therefore, to seasonal issues, tomatoes are imported from Brazil to ensure supply and price balance,” the official said in his regular press conference in the Government House .
