Large amount of dead fish in the lakes of Palermo
A significant amount of dead fish appeared in the last hours in the lakes of Tres de Febrero, Buenos Aires neighborhood of Palermo Park.
The dozens of dead fish on the shores of Lake today surprised the locals who usually come to the park to make exercise and recreational activities.
While government authorities had not intervened, some people said a possible cause could have been the heat wave, which could change the oxygen levels in the water.
Several species live in the lakes, like those called “Chanchita”, “Seven Colors”, “Morenita”, “Dientudo”, a species of shrimp, and 2 classes of molluscs: a bivalve and snail species, and some specimens of eels.
