Today, the National Weather Service warned of heavy rains that could likely drop “with plenty of water fall” for the Federal Capital, La Plata, Buenos Aires, south of Santa Fe, Entre Ríos and south of the Rio de la Plata.

The NWS launched the advice amid the heat wave that broke historical records and warned that since this afternoon could rain with strong and severe storms, with plenty of water fall, strong electrical activity and hailstones.

According to the report, “a mass of warm, moist and very unstable air, will begin to develop during the late rainy areas on the northern suburbs, the City, southern Entre Rios and the Río de la Plata”.

Meanwhile, a red alert persists under high temperatures that have been recorded for days in the city and vicinity.
