Barcelona defeated Villareal and remains as leader of the Spanish League

The team led by Martino defeated Villareal with two goals scored by Brazilian striker Neymar. The visitors had achieved equality in the Camp Nou through former River Mateo Musacchio. Thus, Barcelona sits as leader of the Spanish League after Real Madrid’s draw with Osasuna.

The first goal came in the 30th minute of the first half, when Mario committed a penalty to the local cast. Neymar, in the absence of Messi, was commissioned to execute with precision from the twelve steps to score the 1-0.

Already in the second half, Villarreal tied the scoring through the Argentine Mateo Musacchio. However, the locals will retake the lead. After a combination of Alexis Sanchez and Neymar, at 23 minutes, the Brazilian got his second goal of the afternoon.

With the win, Barcelona reaches 43 points and remains in the top of the standings.
