USA: The Court of Appeals rejected a request Vulture Funds to lift the injunction
Court of Appeals for the second district of New York confirmed the injunction that prevents the application of the judgment against Argentina until vulture funds trial is resolved.
According to official sources, the Appeals Chamber rejected the vulture funds claim to lift the so-called “stay”, which prevents the Argentina have to pay 100 % to these plaintiffs under the formula set by Judge Thomas Griesa .
After learning of the Appeals Chamber ruling in New York, Secretary of Finance, Adrian Cosentino, said the decision “clears the proposals that vulture funds try to install on Argentina proposal to ensure its compliance creditors normal debt” .
To which he added that ” the resolution of the House confirms that procedural actions followed by the country are right and we confirm that the Argentina defense exercise in all available courts.”
The New York court, according to the text, said that “the appeal request for annulment of the stay is denied.”
