Del Potro defeated Roger Federer in the ATP of Basel

In Basel, Swiss land, Del Potro defeated the local Roger Federer, former world number one, and became champion in the European city.
Del Potro, No. 5 in the world, defeated Federer, No. 6, for 7-6 (3), 2-6, 6-4 and crowned champion of the ATP 500 Basel. Thus, the Tower of Tandil reached its fourth title so far of 2013, after his victories in the ATP 500 Rotterdam, Washington and Tokyo.
Former world number one made his third final of the year, after Rome, where he lost to Nadal and winning the title on the grass of Halle. In this tournament, Federer played 10 finals and won six titles.
With his consecration today, Delpo won his ATP title number 17, and remains 8 below José Luis Clerc (25). High above, Guillermo Vilas of Argentina leads the table ATP champions with 62.
