Governor Gioia has an infection in the spleen
The governor of San Juan José Luis Gioia continued on Friday with “guarded prognosis and doctors detected an infection in the area where they removed his spleen” three days after the helicopter crash.
Physicians said, “the governor had repeated episodes of fever so he underwent abdominal sonography and CT of the whole body.”
“During these studies, we found abdominal collection in the area of the removed spleen and we performed percutaneous puncture and evacuation.”
“They sent the liquid extracted from the growing body part, to determine the type of infection, but preventive antibiotic will continue the same pattern.”
“The governor is reactive, lucid and connected with the environment, is still with reserved prognosis and mechanical ventilation in difficult weaning process as a result of infective variants ” .
