Randazzo: “The motorman never indicated flaws in the train”
The Minister of Interior and Transportation, Florencio Randazzo, said in a press conference in the State House that the driver of Sarmiento train impacted at Once station this morning, reported no faults on the route.
He further argued that according to the GPS, the train circulated in various parts with speeds exceeding those established.
“At 600 meters, where the average speed is 35.5 kilometers per hour, he passed at 50 kilometers per hour”, the minister added that “within the platform, where the train must enter at 12 kilometers per hour, actually entered 22 kilometers per hour.”
The official also confirmed that from the total number of people injured, only 8 were under observation and are not seriously injured.
