Gioia Governor opened his eyes, but he underwent a tracheotomy surgery
San Juan governor José Luis Gioia today opened eyes, in a sign of improving his health, his son Gaston Gioia said Monday but the prognosis on his situation remained ‘reserved’: “We are super happy, full of joy,” the young man said.
According to the official medical report released this morning,a Gioia underwent a tracheotomy, a procedure intended to face the possibility of getting off the ventilator in the coming days.
Gioia’s vital signs remained ‘stable’ and kidney function is ‘normal’.
On Tuesday, the deputy governor of San Juan Sergio Uñac took the head of the Executive on a temporary basis, replacing Gioia, while provincial administration back in action after the declared mourning on Saturday due to death of the national representative Margarita Ferrá Bartol.
