The City Government announced four new Metrobus lines
Buenos Aires Mayor Mauricio Macri announced today works for the expansion of the Metrobus network with the construction of four new lines on Cabildo Avenue, San Martin, Paseo Colón and 25 de Mayo Highway.
After the weekly meeting of Cabinet held in the Plant of Art, in the neighborhood of La Boca, Macri said that “to the extent of service, Metrobus network will cover a total of 56 kilometers transforming the life of more than a million people”.
Macri said the desire to advance the dialogue with the Nation and the province of Buenos Aires to extend this mode of transport and facilitate its arrival in the suburban municipalities: “I already talked to the governor (Daniel Scioli). We are also talking with the national government and are available to help with all the experience we have accumulated.”
Macri was with deputy head of government, María Eugenia Vidal, the Cabinet Chief Horacio Rodríguez Larreta, the Secretary of Transportation, Guillermo Dietrich, and locals candidates Gabriela Michetti, Laura Alonso, Federico Sturzenegger, Sergio Bergman and Ivan Petrella, among others.
The new Metrobus lanes will be added to the three existing ones.
