Huge Luján pilgrimage; at least 2.5 million faithful go to the Basilica
At least two million people pilgrimage to Luján, where the Archbishop of Buenos Aires Mario Aurelio Poli said in the central mass that “faith is not negotiated nor transgress it.”
Due to the effect of Pope Francis, this year , the pilgrimage reached record numbers, living a holiday in the Catholic faith according to church sources as at least 2.5 million people participated today.
Poli also said in his homily that ” faith does discover the love of God and comes from the hand of hope”. “Faith is contagious, not a disease, but it spreads”.
“The virgin, without measuring efforts made the first pilgrimage of faith, traveled more than 100 miles from her home in Nazareth to a village where her relatives lived, and it was to announce what was in her womb, Jesus, the son of God, the Savior,” Poli said in the first part of his speech.
“We use it because it’s companion on the road of life and taught to keep things in the heart of faith, which God wanted to reveal to the young, to the humble. Taking care of our faith is a delicate task and can only be entrusted to the custody of a mother like Mary,” said Poli.
