Workers end strike in lines San Martin and Belgrano Sur trains
Workers carried out a surprise strike “indefinitely”, so the railroad San Martin, which makes the journey Retiro-Pilar, was totally paralyzed and it bowed to the Belgrano Sur strike.
The strike was decided this morning after “drivers refused to be made routine checks,” according to Eduardo Montenegro, Manager of Institutional Relations of the UGOFE, operator of the railway.
According to the information we learned this morning, the reaction of drivers “has been raised against psychological aptitude tests, which involve determining whether the employee is fit for work performed a priori to begin his duties.”
The Ugofe issued an official press release which “recommended users to seek other means of locomotion and requested apologize for not being able to fulfill its responsibility to transport thousands of people due to a cause beyond their willingness to fulfill its main task”.
