Corrientes chooses governor
The provincial elections in Corrientes are developing normally but intermittent rains and chairpersons absenteeism caused some delays in the start of the elections.
This was confirmed by the president of the Provincial Electoral Board, Gustavo Sánchez Mariño, who confirmed that 100 percent of educational establishments across the province tables are fully operating.
“There were weather delays in some cases and the usual percentage of absenteeism of board authorities but we activated substitution mechanisms for these cases,” he said.
Meanwhile, he noted that while the rain also played with some delays, “were so far only 40 to 60 millimeters. Hopefully rain increases will not affect transit”.
Finally, Marino Sanchez said that the electoral process is being developed so far “normally” throughout the province.
