Controversy over other government officials grilled in the former ESMA
The Association of Former Disappeared (AEDD) considered as an attitude “inappropriate and offensive” a roast held outdoors on the grounds of the former ESMA made by government officials and members of other human rights body.
Eduardo Fukman a former kidnapped and member of the AEDD said the gathering was led by Undersecretary for Promotion of Human Rights, Carlos Pisoni, which integrates the team Human Rights Secretary’s Office, Juan Martin Fresneda.
The meeting, held at the Casa de la Militancy, a space of the former ESMA assigned to Human Rights organization Hijos, was questioned by Fukman, who said the property “is becoming a multipurpose room”.
The latest controversy over the type of activities conducted at the site in one of its buildings operated a clandestine detention center during the dictatorship was recorded late last year when the Ministry of Justice made a barbecue.
“Also La Campora and Luis D Elia occasionally organize activities. There is a place for appropriation of political and personal purposes,” Fukman said.
