The Justice suspended LAN hangar eviction
Argentina Justice accepted an appeal of LAN Argentina airline presented this week to prevent the eviction of a key hangar for its operations in the domestic airport in Buenos Aires.
The court allows the company to continue occupying its maintenance base in Argentina’s capital, which authorities had been ordered to vacate last week in a move that, according to LAN Argentina, risked its operations in the country.
TN news channel reported that justice accepted the injunction filed Monday by the airline.
LAN Argentina, the main local competitor of state flag airline Aerolineas Argentinas, operates from the Jorge Newbery airport a fleet of 12 Airbus A320 bound for 14 countries.
Two aeronautical unions announced a strike for Thursday whether the Government’s decision to vacate the airline hangar.
The company is a unit of LATAM Airlines, the largest airline group in Latin America.
