The national government sent to Congress two projects for the debt swap
The Government sent two bills to Congress in order to reopen for the third time the debt swap, after the adverse ruling by the U.S. Justice on vulture funds demand, and simultaneously it will replace bonds issued under United States legislation for others with local regulations to avoid foreclosures.
The President announced, “The government on Tuesday sent Congress a bill to reopen for the third time the exchange of debt for the 7 percent who did not enter the above restructuring”.
“The 93% of creditors entered debt swaps, which will replace the previous bonds issued in the exchanges for other securities of the same conditions but with different places of payment to avoid foreclosure.”
“We want to show the vocation against its commitments to Argentina for this 7 percent have the possibility to enter the copper trade and level playing field with the rest of the creditors.”
The head of state, considered “unfair to the Argentina the New York Court of Appeals ruling of favoring vulture funds by stating that they ignored the agreement with 93% of the bondholders.”
