The prosecutor says Mangeri should be condemned
Argentina, August 24, 2013
Today, Jorge Mangeri, the only defendant in the case, merely repeated what he told in the first instance to the prosecutor, Paula Asaro, and to ratify the complaints of their lawyers: said he suffered “tightening” and insisted that he “assembled a cause.”
For his part, the prosecutor Ricardo Saenz, ratified the action of Asaro. “For me it is enough proof out there. I don’t believe that there is room in the case to let Mangeri in freedom.”
It is clear that the defense of Mangeri also seeks to question the strongest evidence against his client, the DNA found under the fingernail of Angeles Rawson. Yesterday, Mangeri said he “never touched” the girl and said the genetic sample was “planted”.
In this regard, Saenz said yesterday that DNA tests “were taken underneath every precaution” annulments ruling requested by the defense.
