Subway union strikes 24 hours on line B
The subway line B workers decided after an assembly held during the morning, take a 24-hour strike so no service all day.
The strike was taken after the incidents last night in Los Incas station for delays due to technical problems.
“For 13 days we reached a deal with Metrovías to work and we’ve met. However, in recent days there were technical glitches that have caused delays and disruptions that made it virtually impossible to service provide”, unionist said.
“The company, rather than fix, blames the workers. Instead of investing, it blames workers and we do not want to be a scapegoat.”
“Customers yesterday complained of delays and we mean that we have to protest together.”
