After the escape of prisoners, the director of the Federal Penitentiary Service resigned

Victor Hortel, director of the Federal Penitentiary Service, today announced his resignation from his post, after became public the escape of 13 prisoners of the Ezeiza Prison Complex.
At a press conference, he said his resignation is “irrevocable” and presented it to the Minister of Justice and Human Rights of Argentina, Julio Alak.
Hortel confirmed this afternoon the escape of 13 prisoners from the Federal Penitentiary Complex of Ezeiza and said that prisoners had “internal complicity,” reason why he displaced 19 correctional officers, including the prison director.
According to reports, the prisoners escaped through a hole of 40 by 22 inches, and said that the opening should sue at least two days of tasks with tools that were not found at the scene.
