Tourism for long weekends left 6.000 million pesos in the national economy

Argentina Chamber of Tourism (CAT) said that the economic impact of tourism on regional economies reaches 6.000 million pesos, counting only long weekends.
Oscar Ghezzi, CAT president, said that “spending per tourist, during this long weekend was estimated at 1,600 pesos, implying a figure close to 1,000 million pesos in general terms, with tourists whose average stay is located about 3 nights, and most travelers with groups of 2, 3 and 4 people.”
According to the Ministry of Tourism of the Nation, the first half of 2013 totaled 5.884 million tourist arrivals to the destiny of our country for the long weekends.
