Egypt: Ban Ki-moon condemned the violence and offered international aid

Ban Ki-moon, the UN general secretary, condemned today the “excessive use of force” held by the Egyptian authorities. he also called for the release of the deposed president and offered international assistance in order to overcome the crisis.
In a press conference at the United Nations headquarters, the officer said he was “alarmed” by the violence in Egypt: “I am alarmed by the outbreak of violent protests and excessive use of force and I strongly condemn attacks to churches, hospitals and other public buildings.”
In addition to calling for the release of deposed President Mohamed Mursi and broadening the political space to the Muslim Brotherhood, offered support to resolve the crisis with his visit, which begins tomorrow to Cairo chief of the UN political affairs, Jeffrey Feltman.
