About 200,000 faithful gathered Sunday morning in St. Peter’s Square, according to the Vatican to attend the Pentecost Mass celebrated by Pope Francisco, who warned of the danger of divisions within the Church.
The Pope said: “When we want to create diversity and locked ourselves in our particularities, we create the division.”
“It is the Church that Christ brings to me and brings me to Christ, the parallel paths are so dangerous. When venturing beyond the doctrine of the community of the Church, which does not stay inside, not attached to the God of Jesus Christ.
Members of the Focolare movement, Communion and Liberation, Neocatechumenal Way, Legionaries of Christ and Emmanuel, among others, came to the Vatican from around the world to participate in this great Pentecost meeting organized as part of the ‘Year of Faith’ by the ministry for the New Evangelization, created in 2010 by Benedict XVI.
After the Mass, the Pope delivered the traditional midday Regina Caeli: “I wanted to thank all the moves, all the associations, communities and church groups. You are a gift and a treasure for the Church”, and closed the Regina Caeli wishing everyone “good party!Good Sunday!Good lunch!”
