Pope Francis published his first tweet

“Dear friends, I thank you from the heart and I ask you to continue praying for me.” These were the words with which the new Pope Francisco opened his Twitter account, minutes after the first Angelus prayer in St. Peter’s Square at the Vatican.

With a message in Castilian in which again asked the faithful to pray for him, Francis gave activity to the profile of the social network, which remained closed since the resignation of Benedict XVI on 28 February.
