Buenos Aires Labor Minister Oscar Cuartango admitted on Saturday “the threat of new crackdown launched by teachers unions will sit down and negotiate with a gun in the neck to the new round of wage negotiations scheduled for next Monday”.

“I have ordered a strike of 96 hours, I’ll sit down to negotiate with a gun to his neck, that is not the way to negotiate, it sounds as extortion”.

In a radio interview he added that: “This year there is a atypical teachers joint”.

“It’s not the first one, it’s the sixth under the management of Daniel Scioli. The other five were close, this is a very particular tension”.
