Maradona would be negotiating to coach a French club

France, March 8, 2013

Diego Maradona could return to coaching after months of inactivity. Louis Nicollin, president of Montpellier, would be talking with him to lead the French team. The company that represents Diego would be willing to negotiate.

“This should be unlocked on Monday. I think he (Maradona) will come with your representative to Montpellier for a first contact, but this is not 100% sure yet.”

This uncertainty about the arrival of Maradona is because, as expressed by the French owner of the entity, there are many intermediaries handling the issue. “I do not trust all these entrepreneurs. There are at least ten! We’ll have to wait until Monday to see if is reliable” he said.

“They sent a fax and then nothing happened. Maradona is not the only one and I also think other coaches (to succeed Rene Girard),” he added.

The former football player, of 52 years old, was coach of Argentina between 2008 and 2010. Later went to Dubai to coach Al Wasl.
