The Defense Minister Arturo Puricelli said this morning that the Argentina party in Venezuela backs to Buenos Aires today hours before the funeral of Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez.

Puricelli said, “We came to pay homage to President Chávez, the people and the government. I believe that the President should be back today, at least that I have been informed.”

The minister rejected that “the decision of the head of state has to do with the presence of Iranian leader Mahmoud Ahmadinejad in the wake.”

And he added: “I think with today’s activities, it is hardly necessary to continue staying in Caracas”.
