After 20 hours, the subway line A Buenos Aires, will reopen to the public after the act led by the head of Government Mauricio Macri.

Interior Minister and Transport Florencio Randazzo attended the ceremony on behalf of the national government.

President Cristina Kirchner was invited but right now she is in Caracas after the death of President Hugo Chavez.

“It is a day of great joy. We have line A in the 21st Century. I know you will miss Belgian wooden cars, but beyond the romance we had entered a danger zone of insecurity,” said Macri.

And said to Randazzo: “I hope minister, this will be the beginning of a new stage. People travel better is everyone’s responsibility. The transport system requires that we coordinate efforts.”

The minister replied: “For us it is a day of great happy. The president would have liked to participate in this reopening of Line A because the national government has invested more than 1000 million in the renovation of this road,” he said.
