Colombian reporter covering the death of Hugo Chavez was violently assaulted (videos)

Carmen Andrea Rengifo correspondent in Venezuela for RCN Channel News was attacked by pro-Chavez demonstrators in nearby Military Hospital.

According to the news network, “When the journalist is assaulted with blows, during the moment of disorder heard some shots. Rengifo wounds, fortunately, are not considered.”

In the video, sent by the correspondent looks like an angry mob RCN coverage by the news crew blasts.

In a video released by NTN24 is shown that the Colombian correspondent is not helped by the Caracas police and between the screams it is hear a voice exclaims: ‘Viva Chavez damn!’

The journalist had been questioned by President Hugo Chavez, who criticized the lack of objectivity to report a gas leak in a water treatment plant in Venezuela.
