Lionel Messi equaled the record of Alfredo Di Stéfano in terms of the number of goals in the classics with Real Madrid.

Today, “La Pulga” reached goal number 18 to the meringues in 24 games, and reached the mark of the white club legend, his countryman Alfredo Di Stefano, who got the same amount but in 30 games.

Lionel scored 11 goals in the Spanish league, five Spanish Super Cup and two in the Champions League. Curiously, he never scored in the Copa del Rey.
