Cristina Kirchner’s speech: The absentees in the Congress
Argentina, March 1, 2013
President Cristina Kirchner opened today the 131st legislative sessions of Argentine Congress, with a speech that lasted about 3 hours and 45 minutes. However, some missed the appointment and others left in the middle of the lecture.
There were absent: deputies Elisa Carrio of the Civic Coalition, Jorge Yoma, for the Front for Victory and Laura Alonso of PRO and senators Carlos Reutemann and Carlos Menem.
“I do not want to hear Cristina Ferdández’s speech for 3 hours, when 24 hours ago she transformed the Parliament in a pigsty,” said on his Twitter Jorge Yoma.
Meanwhile, Elisa Carrio said he would not attend the opening of the regular session because she considers that the Legislature is “used as a football game” by the Kirchnerism.
“In my TL are the reasons why I did not go to Congress today. I’m Tired of lies and insults to those who think differently”, said Laura Alonso.
On the other hand were those who left the place in the middle of the speech. Such was the case of Pino Solanas and other members of South Project party. Through Twitter, the leader said “we’re tired of the lies in the Legislative Assembly. She can’t keep fooling the Argentines. “
The prize, however, goes for Francisco De Narváez, who was photographed in various parts of the speech with his eyes closed and struggling to stay awake.
