Nilda Garre said that the media create a ‘sense of insecurity’

Nilda Garre, Security Minister, blamed again the media for creating a “sense of insecurity”.

The official said in statements to Radio Vorterix that “communication media makes you feel insecure everywhere, even in populations of the interior, very quiet areas where crimes are not recorded.”

“Communication through mass diffusion of the most bloody, terrible and violent cases results in an increase of the concern over this issue” said Garre.

And also she added that after the attempted assault on the house of the head of the ministry of Security Buenos Aires, Ricardo Casal, in City Bell “no one has a guaranteed security, anyone can become a victim of a criminal act, even having custody.”

The minister said in a conversation with Reynaldo Sietecase that “an act of insecurity can happen to anyone, that’s dramatic, but in the most vulnerable sectors, this situation is more violent”.
