Milan defeated Barcelona for the knockout stages of the Champions League

In the first leg of the knockout stages of the UEFA Champions League, AC Milan defeated Barcelona 2-0 with goals scored by Boateng and Muntari. Visitors were surprisingly harmless and its star, Lionel Messi, played below his usual level. The locals achieved a great victory to go to the Camp Nou. 

Milan: Abbiati; Abate, Mexes, Zapata, Constant; Montolivo, Ambrosini, Muntari; Boateng, Pazzini (Niang, 75’) y El Shaarawy (Traoré, 90’).

Barcelona: Valdés; Alves, Puyol (Mascherano, 88’), Piqué, Alba; Busquets, Xavi, Fábregas (Alexis Sánchez, 62’); Pedro, Iniesta y Messi.

Goals: 56’ Boateng, 80’ Muntari.
