Fidel Castro wrote a farewell letter to Hugo Chavez

The official website Cubadebate published the full text of the letter from Fidel Castro to Hugo Chavez.

“Dear Hugo: I am very pleased to have been able to return a piece of American land you love so much, and people will support you both brother.

It took a long and agonizing wait, your amazing stamina and total consecration of doctors as they did for 10 years, to obtain that goal.

It is absolutely right to mention the insurmountable record with your closest relatives, your fellow revolutionary leadership, the Bolivarian Armed Forces, reassembled and refitted by you, and the honest people of the world showed their sympathies.

Special mention breath the Venezuelan people gave you their enthusiastic support daily samples and irreducible. That must be one happy return to Venezuela.

You learned a lot about life, Hugo, in these hard days of suffering and sacrifice. Now we will not have the privilege of hearing from you every day, return to the method of correspondence that we have used for years.

We will live forever fighting for justice among humans without fear of the years, months, days or hours, aware, humbly, that we lived in the most critical time in the history of our humanity. Our people, which is also yours, will meet tomorrow by this via your return to Venezuela.

Everything should be done with great discretion, not to give opportunity for groups to plan their cynical fascist actions against the Bolivarian revolutionary process.

When the socialist bloc collapsed and the USSR disintegrated, imperialism, with the knife sharpening its blockade intended to drown in blood the Cuban Revolution, Venezuela, a relatively small country of divided America, was able to prevent it.

In the interest of time I will not mention the many countries of the Caribbean, Central and South America to Venezuela, in addition to their great economic and social plans, was able to help. Therefore, all honest people in the world have followed closely “health and news of Chavez.”
