Publications of the Hugo Chavez images with his daughters smiling and reading the previous day’s edition of the newspaper ‘Granma’ sparked various opinions on the Web.

Photography experts say, “Photoshop is behind this move of the government because Chavez doesn’t look like someone who underwent surgery, suffered kidney failure and severe respiratory infection. Also, the president of Venezuela was in a coma and underwent a tracheotomy. In the images, there are no signs of any of this.”

The specialists on images show that photographs of the president of Venezuela could have been modified. Although makeup and smiling poses, the silhouetted Hugo Chavez has certain errors of Photoshop clone tool that Bolivarian government ignored’.

Others suggest that: “the cover of ‘Granma’ may have been modified as these snapshots could have been taken a few days after the entry of Hugo Chavez. Therefore the cover of the newspaper may have been modified with PhotoShop.”
