LAN Airlines and TAM lost permission to operate in Bolivia, after failing to renew licenses to fly in the country.
Through a statement, the Transport and Telecommunications Authority (ATT) of Bolivia announced the suspension of the licenses of both companies.
“LAN and TAM are not authorized to continue providing the services required from February 15,” ATT said.
However, the flights scheduled for this weekend had not been canceled and from airlines owners said they had not yet been officially notified, so they will continue with their schedule.
ATT Sources said the suspension of flights “could be effective from the next week after the official notification of the decision and if those affected do not seek any remedy.”
