Maduro: “Hugo Chavez in undergoing complex and complementary treatments”

Nicolas Maduro said that, “The president of Venezuela, Hugo Chavez, is undergoing additional treatments that are extremely complex and hard, as part of his recovery process of cancer.”

Vice President, from Barquisimeto, Lara state capital, said that “after spending days hospitalized in December, he is undergoing an extremely complex and postoperative cycle since January.”

“The Bolivarian leader is assimilating and carrying on, as he would say, in the spirit of battle, this new phase of medical treatments” and when asked when will it end? He said “at some point”.

The former foreign minister said, “We sent our gratitude and love to all doctors that are the 24 hours taking care of Chavez and his treatment, every moment that he lives”.

Maduro said that “members of the Government will continue to travel weekly to Havana to meet with the head of state, meet their health policies and receive instructions.”
