Sileoni: “The wage increase for teachers won’t exceed the 25%”

Alberto Sileoni Education Minister said that “the role of the National Joint is to set a minimum”, “the teacher receives a salary that is built by the provinces” and said that “the wage increase won’t exceed a 25%.”

The school year begins in February 27, so the Minister explained to the newspaper Tribune de Salta, that “the National Joint is symbolic because there are no schools in charge of the nation, the controls is in the hands of the provinces.”

He also called as “unreal claim an increase of 30% and said that it will not exceed the 25%.”

“The mission of the National Joint is to set a minimum wage that is paid by the provinces to the teachers.”
