Spain: 5 dead in cruise ship lifeboat drill

In a mock rescue, five people died and three others were injured after one of the lifeboats fell from the cruise, at a height of 30 meters.

The causes of the incident are still unknown. The boat dropped from 30 meters high with eight crew members, remaining dumped over the sea surface.

According to official sources, the deceased are three Indonesians, a Filipino and a Ghanaian, while the injured are two Greeks and one Filipino. The cruise ship was carrying about 2,000 passengers.

The British company Thompson Cruises confirmed the deaths of the five crew members of the cruise “Thompson Majesty”.
