IDESA criticized the sayings of Cristina Kirchner about education

The Institute for Social Development of Argentina (IDEAS) criticized the president’s announcements on the implementation of the Five-Year Plan for Education and said “to reverse the situation is not enough to proclaim goals.”

Cristina Kirchner had conducted a brief review of the achievements of the Kirchnerism in education and the level of investment made in the area while announcing the launch of the Five Year Plan for Education.

In response, IDESA said through a statement that “the educational failure is the result of multiplying resources strategically meaningless. To reverse the situation is not enough to proclaim goals.’s It’s essential to respect the provincial responsibility in educational management, redefining the system of joint and create a system of rigorous educational evaluations by the Nation to induce the provinces to improve”.

The findings of the institute’s researchers are based on statistics that show a step of 46% to 50% in the percentage of high school youth who drop out in the period 2003-2009 and the fall of the scores obtained by the students.

And finally concluded “improving education requires building more schools, but under conditions that lead to young people attending and not abandon it requires hiring more teachers and improve wages, but with proper training to teach and work rules that lead to excellence.
