Riquelme reached an agreement with Angelici and will return to Boca

Argentina, February 8, 2013

As expected, Juan Roman Riquelme finally agreed his return to Boca and will join the practices with the rest of the team. The player first met with Angelici and defined the details of his return, which will be his fourth cyclone in the institution. Then, the Committee arranged the details.

On January 5, Román went at the start of the preseason to tell the coach Carlos Bianchi that he would be part of the team for next season. He stated that day “I’m not going back to Boca anymore.”

Then the novel began. First he was requested by several clubs in Brazil, being Palmeiras the closest one. The president came to Buenos Aires to talk personally with Riquelme but negotiations did not end well.

Then Roman himself said that he will play in Tigre or Argentinos, prompting an immediate response from the two entities.

Finally, Riquelme will return to Boca and wear the number “10” shirt.
