A nurse died of Influenza A in Carme de Areco’s Hospital

Argentina, February 8, 2013

Andrea Gordillo, head nurse at the Hospital of Carmen de Areco, died today due to Influenza A. She was hospitalized in serious condition at a clinic in La Plata. By the time another nurse is hospitalized and seven patients are undergoing preventive treatments.

The incident occurred while one of the patients who remained hospitalized at the Hospital of La Plata Rossi was discharged. This afternoon, it was confirmed that the nurse had traveled to Miami.

Andrea was the head nurse at the Hospital of Carmen de Areco. The woman was hospitalized in serious condition at the clinic after contracting Influenza A during her visit to the American city.
