A rubber boat crashed and killed a woman in the Falls of Moconá

Today, a rubber boat carrying tourists to the falls of Moconá, in the Uruguay River near the boundary with Brazil, wrecked and killed a woman. The remaining passengers were floating in the turbulent waters but were rescued by other boats.
The victim was identified as María Eleanor Ramirez, of 68 years old, and as could be known, she died because of a cardiopulmonary arrest. Her son, Israel Sanabria, of 50 years old, was rescued along with his wife Norma Beatriz Velazquez, of 48 years old.
After the accident, the Ministry of Ecology of Misiones suspended the sailings while investigating the causes of the accident.
Moconá Provincial Park is located within the Biosphere Reserve and front of Yabotí Turbo Sun Park located on the left bank of the Uruguay River, in the Brazilian state of Rio Grande do Sul.
