Buenos Aires Governor Daniel Scioli insisted today in his claim to receive more federal funding, but down the argue tone and said that to make changes in the revenue sharing law, “we must combine a lot of wills”.
After leading a Cabinet meeting following a rest period in Italy, Scioli addressed the government’s request to the Nation for additional funds and generated strong counterpoints with Kirchner.
In what seemed like a message to the rest of the governors, the governor said, “this is not about to pull between provinces” but to move forward with an amendment to the Federal Revenue Sharing Act. He did it by leading a meeting Friday of the economic cabinet, after spending a few days holiday in Italy.
About other reviews regarding the alleged electoral opportunism in Buenos Aires claim, he recalled that the proposition “was always present” in his administration, noting that on several occasions he referred to the issue in opening the regular sessions in the Legislature.
