Lionel Messi donated nearly one million dollars to a sports center in Rosario

The Barcelona star Lionel Messi donated nearly one million pesos ($202,000) to refurbish a sports complex in a poor area of Rosario.
The player has in that city a foundation that bears his name and from which boosts solidarity work, including development of recreational and sports and this time, it is recover Deliot sports center where low-income children attend.
“The renovation of sports facilities will benefit thousands of people in the area west of the city,” said the Secretary of Sports of the Rosario Municipality Rolando Dal Lake in dialogue with AFP.
The official stressed, “beyond the donation, Messi is a family with a huge social commitment while working with the municipality through the Foundation.”
“The goal is to recover the property so that children have a special place for sports, education, training and culture,” says the Foundation on its website.
