The leader of the Movement for Rights and Freedoms, Ahmed Dogan, miraculously escaped death when a man tried to shoot him in the head at a public event, and the gun jammed.
The attacker took the stand where Dogan gave a speech and pointed to his head and miraculously the shot did not come out. The politician reacted and tried to escape when officers rushed against the aggressor.
Then many of those present began to beat him and cameras at the scene recorded everything.
The incident occurred at the Palace of Culture in Sofia, capital of Bulgaria.
Dogan spent 25 years as head of the Movement for Rights and Freedoms, a center-right party that has the support of the Muslim minority in Bulgaria.
