Australia Open: Del Potro was defeated by Frenchman Jeremy Chardy

Juan Martin Del Potro had lost the first two sets by a double 6/3, 6/3, then back to win the next two, 6/7, 3/6, but finally, Frenchman Jeremy Chardy closed by the fifth 6/3, and went on to the second round.

The Argentine player was far from his best, without finding around the match, he was eliminated in the third round of the Australia Open, the first Grand Slam of the year.

When Del Potro lacked firmness and security with the right hand and Chardy took advantage of his failures, nevertheless, raised the match and reached the final fight, but it was not enough.

This was the seventh participation of Del Potro in the Australian competition, where the best performance was in 2009 and 2012, to reach the quarter-finals.
